Let me introduce myself.
My name is Britt Willems and
I’m a Product Designer Engineer from
The Netherlands.
After earning my degree in Industrial Product Design Engineering at Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences in March 2023, I began my professional journey at PaperInnovator in BlueCity, where I worked on circular economy initiatives within a multidisciplinary innovation hub. This experience sparked my interest in sustainable innovation and motivated me to pursue a Master’s in Circular Economy and Sustainable Innovation at ESDES Lyon.
Today, I combine my technical background in product design with strategic knowledge in sustainability to focus on designing high-quality products with a low environmental impact. I apply circular economy principles and EcoDesign strategies to create smart, future-proof solutions that make sense for both users and the planet!
Sustainability
In the age we live in, I believe sustainability and circularity are the most important design aspects. Designing and making environmental friendly products is a huge part of my my mission to leave the world a better place.
Quality Design
Unfortunately not all products can yet be designed fully circular. Making high quality products and designs that last long and are recyclable can make positive environmental impact from another point of view.
Making Impact
Besides making environmental impact, making social impact is also part of my mission, designing products for neglected groups in society. It’s amazing to see people light up over a product specially made for them.
